Athlon Optics Midas G2 UHD 10x50 BinocularsDawn patrol and last light glassing sessions are when the best opportunities appear and when standard 42mm binoculars start to struggle. The Athlon Midas G2 UHD 10x50 pairs UHD extra low dispersion glass and ESP dielectric BAK 4 prisms with 50mm objectives that gather 42% more light than 42mm models, extending usable observation deep into the twilight hours where smaller binoculars lose contrast and detail. Key Features UHD extra low dispersion glass

Dawn patrol and last-light glassing sessions are when the best opportunities appear — and when standard 42mm binoculars start to struggle. The Athlon Midas G2 UHD 10x50 pairs UHD extra-low-dispersion glass and ESP dielectric BAK-4 prisms with 50mm objectives that gather 42% more light than 42mm models, extending usable observation deep into the twilight hours where smaller binoculars lose contrast and detail.

Key Features
  • UHD extra-low-dispersion glass reduces chromatic aberration and delivers sharp, color-true images — especially noticeable when tracking movement through variable light and high-contrast terrain
  • ESP dielectric coating on phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms reflects over 99% of light through the prism assembly for brighter, more color-accurate images than standard silver-coated prisms. Combined with advanced fully multi-coated lenses and XPL protective exterior coating, the system maximizes light from objective to eyepiece
  • 10x magnification with a 50mm objective provides a 5.0mm exit pupil — the largest in the Midas G2 50mm range — delivering a noticeably brighter image in low light compared to 12x models. The 341-foot field of view at 1,000 yards makes scanning open terrain faster and tracking moving subjects easier
  • Magnesium alloy chassis at 28.5 ounces — argon purged, fully waterproof, and built for backcountry conditions without adding unnecessary pack weight
  • 16.9mm eye relief with twist-up eyecups — the most generous in the Midas G2 50mm lineup, providing full field of view even with glasses. Smooth center focus and diopter adjustment for quick, precise focusing

Ideal For

Birders and wildlife observers who need to acquire and track moving subjects quickly — the wider field of view and 9.8-foot close focus let you find, follow, and study without the tunnel-vision effect of higher magnifications. The 5.0mm exit pupil keeps the image bright in forest canopy and dawn/dusk conditions when bird activity peaks.

Western hunters who glass ridgelines and open basins — 10x is enough magnification to evaluate game at typical engagement distances while the wider FOV helps you scan efficiently. If you need more reach for spotting at extreme distance, the Midas G2 UHD 12x50 trades field of view for magnification on the same optical platform.

All-day field users and glasses wearers — the 16.9mm eye relief and comfortable ergonomics make this the Midas G2 to choose if you'll be glassing for hours or sharing the binocular between users with different vision needs.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
